Food Safety Regulations
The health regulations for the processing and handling of food, including honey, are controlled by Your Local Council.
The regulations differ from council to council.
For producing and selling your own Honey, usually the following certificates are required:
- Food Safety Certificate – Level 1 (Food processing).
- Food Safety Certificate – Level 2 (Supervisor).
- Certified kitchen, subject to regular food safety inspections.
