Setting up your hives

The three things Beekeeping has in common with Real Estate:

Location of Hives for results.

Urban conditions. Large variety of flora, often of European origin, in urban gardens provide better conditions for European Honeybees than rural areas, especially with monoculture farming.

Rural conditions can be and have been challenging in Australia for the past few years. Bees in rural areas have at times been starving as native flora did not provide the quantity and/or variety of food needed by European Honeybees.

Nomadic or migratory beekeeping addresses the shortfall of food in one area by relocating beehives to another area where the bees find better conditions.
