Beekeeping Safety Measures
Protective Clothing
The complete, appropriate bee-tight beekeeper outfit is:
- A netted veil - most important to protect the head.
- Long denim pants.
- Long-sleeved shirt.
- A pair of tall working boots and
- A pair of gloves.
Alternatively, bee suits or jackets with attached veil are very popular. To be worn over the usual clothing, not instead.
Weak Points:
Make sure all zips are closed and no holes or gaps left open - the bees find it!
